Non-EEA students

At the moment, there is only a limited amount of scholarships available through PPLE for non-EEA students. Therefore, we recommend you to explore the options for other grants online.

In previous years PPLE College could award 1-3 scholarships per year, ranging from € 5000 to € 14.000 per grant. We cannot inform you yet how much funding there will be available for the coming year.

Non-EEA prospective students who successfully completed the PPLE selection procedure and received a conditional offer to study at PPLE College will be invited to apply for the scholarship. This process will not start until May. You will receive the invitation and further information via email.

In addition, we would like to point out the following websites. You might want to use them to explore the possibilities of receiving financial aid from institutions that are external to the University of Amsterdam.

EU/EEA/Switzerland students

  • Student Finance from the Dutch government, including a student travel card. This loan is only awarded to students who work at least 56 hours per month in the Netherlands, are younger than 30 and are from an EU/EEA country, or from Switzerland.
  • Tuition fees loan. There is a brochure with more information. The application form can also be found online. Note that this is a loan that needs to be repaid after you have finished your studies.
