Social Safety at PPLE College

At PPLE, we prepare students to engage critically and constructively with a complex world, grounded in respect for one another. Social safety is not separate from that mission; it is the foundation it rests on. A community where people feel safe to be themselves, speak openly, and disagree respectfully is what allows genuine intellectual exchange to flourish. 
 
PPLE upholds the UvA's institution-wide policy and Code of Conduct on social safety, and expects all students, staff, and visitors to do the same.

If you experience or witness behaviour that doesn't feel right, you are never expected to navigate this alone.

The UvA offers a wide variety point of contacts that can support you. The UvA's Confidential Advisers, PPLE Study Advisers and lecturers are often your first point of contact for support.  

If you feel unsure of where to go, you can also use the UvA's Reporting Point for Social Safety and Integrity. They can also help point you in the right direction.
